Dialectimals was created by Julie Hayden, MSW, RSW, a passionate mental health advocate and DBT practitioner who believes healing should feel gentle, supportive, and even a little magical. After years of witnessing how DBT skills transform lives, Julie designed Dialectimals—adorable stuffed skill-reminder buddies that help keep tools like Wise Mind, Radical Acceptance, and Emotion Regulation close at heart. Each Dialectimal is lovingly crafted to bring comfort, learning, and connection, making DBT skills easier to remember in moments we need them most. What began as a creative passion project has grown into a mission: to support emotional wellness with softness, playfulness, and hope.

I am beyond excited to officially announce the launch of Dialectimals — adorable DBT-inspired companions designed to support emotional wellness, mindfulness, and skill-building in a gentle and playful way. After years spent dreaming, sketching, prototyping, and pouring my heart into this project, the first Dialectimal has finally arrived: The Wise Mind Owl!
Soft, comforting, and purposefully created to help you remember your DBT skills, this tiny but mighty owl is here to sit with you through waves of emotion, cheer you on through self-growth, and offer comfort when things feel heavy. This launch is a milestone — and just the beginning of a much bigger collection.
